Bioluminescence in beetles has fascinated biologists since the time of Darwin and produce diverse bioanalytical applications, but its evolutionary origin and function variation mechanisms remain elusive. This project attempt to explore the origin and evolution of beetle bioluminescence by dissected thier genomes.
