5G Medical Data Packet Level Traffic Dataset (Project: MedCS.5)

MedCS.5 Dataset: This work presents medCS.5, a clinically grounded 5G network simulation framework that generates synthetic yet realistic packet-level traffic reflecting typical medical workflows and domain-specific protocols (FHIR, DICOM, ECG). Using Docker Swarm, we simulate diverse medical devices, clinician interactions, and multiple adversarial behaviors—including compromised endpoints, denial-of-service, man-in-the-middle, and latency-inducing attacks—within a live 5G core environment. The resulting publicly available dataset provides over six hours of annotated clinical network traffic suitable for training and evaluating intrusion detection systems. medCS.5 addresses the critical scarcity of healthcare-specific cybersecurity datasets and supports research on securing next-generation 5G medical networks.
