Data files for: Tree growth, mortality, and climatic water deficit in west-coast states, USA

This data repository contains processed and compressed RDS and CSV data files for the manuscript "Tree growth, mortality, and climatic water deficit in west-coast states, USA" by Jeremiah Groom and Bryce Frank. The manuscript's GitHub repository is located at: https://github.com/jeremygroom/Tree_Growth_Death. Users download the GitHub repo and run R code that obtains these zipped files from Zenodo. These ready-to-analyze files are used in the manuscript's R pipeline and allow for the generation of ouput identical to the figures and tables reported in the manuscript. Users can bypass the Zenodo repository to obtain and process the publicly-available Forest Inventory and Analysis (FIA) data using the GitHub repo code, but due to ongoing FIA data curation those results may not exactly match manuscript outputs.
