NRS-5580 | Staffing in mental hospital wards

This bundle includes copies of letters sent from the Inspector-General of Mental Hospitals (Sydney) to more than 100 mental hospitals in other states, Britain, America and New Zealand, requesting information on the staffing of wards. From the replies received from these hospitals, it appears that statistical tables were compiled for each institution noting total number of patients, total number of staff, number of patients and staff for each ward, and staff/patient ratios.
