Potential TFA-emitting industrial enterprises (dataset)

For the very persistent and very mobile connection trifluoroacetate (TFA), the potentially TFA-emitting industrial enterprises are presented, which in the framework of the opinion “Trifluoroacetate (TFA): create the basis for effective minimisation – Spatial analysis of the entry paths into the water cycle” (runtime: August 2021-November 2022). Important note: No information was available on industrial plants in Germany that emit TFAs directly into the aquatic environment. Therefore, no statements can be made on the relevance of the entry path industry for TFA cargo in rivers in Germany and the site of TFA-emitting farms. Whether and to what extent the listed establishments actually emit TFAs into the aquatic environment cannot be answered at this point. Therefore, only the situation of establishments in Germany, which according to the information in the E-PRTR register are establishments emitting fluorine or fluorine-containing compounds or registered in accordance with Article 10 of the REACH Regulation, is presented here. However, the data do not allow conclusions to be drawn about the fluorinated chemicals actually produced and/or processed on the farm.
