IMPROVING THE LEGAL MECHANISMS OF PROSECUTORIAL SUPERVISION IN COMBATING CYBERCRIME

The rapid expansion of digital technologies has significantly transformed the nature, scale, and methods of criminal activity. Cybercrime has become one of the most complex forms of modern crime because it can be committed remotely, across national borders, and through rapidly changing technological tools. These features create new challenges for law enforcement agencies and require the modernization of traditional mechanisms of legal supervision. This article examines the role of prosecutorial supervision in combating cybercrime and analyzes the legal mechanisms necessary to ensure the legality and effectiveness of cybercrime investigations. Particular attention is given to the collection and preservation of digital evidence, supervision over investigative and operational activities, protection of individual rights in cyberspace, and coordination between prosecution authorities and other law enforcement institutions.
