We evaluated the effects of sex hormones and genes as factors involved in sex differences in obesity-associated colorectal cancer. Microarray analysis was performed on 24 colon tissue samples (n = 4 per group). Three comparison groups of differentially expressed genes were generated: Male+Low fat diet vs. Male+High fat diet, Female+Low fat diet vs. Female+High fat diet, and Female(Ovariectomized)+Low fat diet vs. Female(Ovariectomized)+High fat diet.
