Analysis of cognitive level and influencing factors of fever associated thrombocytopenia syndrome among medical staff in Yangzhou City

Objective To Understand the cognitive status of medical staff in Yangzhou City regarding fever associated thrombocytopenia syndrome (SFTS), and explore the influencing factors to provide a basis for early diagnosis and treatment, and propose targeted training interventions.Method Using stratified cluster sampling, a survey was conducted on medical staff from relevant departments of different levels of medical institutions conducting online reporting of infectious diseases.Results The total awareness rate of SFTS knowledge was 69.71%, with a knowledge awareness rate of 84.16% for popular science and 62.95% for professional knowledge. There were statistically significant differences (P<0.05) in the distribution of science popularization knowledge among medical staff in areas with high incidence of SFTS, including gender, occupation, professional title,medical institution level,department, SFTS training experience, and whether SFTS was prevalent; There were statistically significant differences (P<0.05) in the distribution of professional knowledge awareness among medical staff in areas with high incidence of SFTS, including educational level, occupation, professional title, medical institution level, SFTS training experience, and whether there was a high incidence of SFTS. The multi factor logistic regression results show that doctors, intermediate and above professional titles, clinical departments, medical staff with SFTS training experience, and areas with high incidence of SFTS are more likely to know SFTS popular science knowledge; Undergraduate and above, doctors, intermediate and above professional titles, secondary and above medical institutions, and medical staff who have participated in SFTS training are more likely to have knowledge of SFTS expertise.Conclusion The cognitive level of medical staff in Yangzhou City towards SFTS is average, and targeted training on SFTS related knowledge should be strengthened to improve the early identification and differential diagnosis ability of SFTS.
