This dataset contains the data of soil physicochemical properties (pH value, moisture content, microbial respiration rate, soil organic matter, soil alkali-hydrolyzable nitrogen, NH4+ and available phosphorus) and the extracellular enzyme activities involved in C- (cellulase or carboxymethyl cellulase (Cx), and β-1,4-glucosidase (BG)), N- (chitinase or β-N-acetylglucosaminidase (NAG), urease (URE), leucine aminopeptidase (LAP) and nitrate reductase (NR)), and P-acquiring (acid phosphatase (ACP) and alkaline phosphatase (ALP)) in Fagus lucida forests across different ages.
