These data include four rasters of fire regime characteristics ("traits") used for calculation of pyrodiversity. Data are limited to forested watersheds of the western United States and represent a recency-weighted average of wildfire events (or intervals) between 1985 and 2018. These datasets were created in support of the publication "Quantifying pyrodiversity and its drivers" in [Journal and link]. Additional details about the creation of these data can be found within that publication. Fire regime characteristics include: 1) Fire return interval (years), 2) Fire season (cosine of radians), 3) Severity (composite burn index), and 4) burn patch size (log ha). <br>
