Abstract: Osmotic stress is one of the major stress factors limiting the application of rhizobia in agriculture. Sinorhizobium fredii CCBAU 45436 is a drought- and salinity-tolerant, broad-host, fast-growing rhizobacterium with high nitrogen-fixing efficiency, which provides a large amount of nitrogen to the host crop through nitrogen fixation by tumor formation. In this study, the changes of osmotic stress on the transcriptome of S. fredii CCBAU 45436 were assessed by RNA-Seq under osmotic stress conditions simulated by 3 M sorbitol.
