Partial requirements for a library building: Art and lecture room, 1931

This one page document entitled "Art and lecture room" is part of a larger document "Partial requirements for a library building" prepared by Head Librarian Charlotte Brown in January 1931 as part of the planning process for Doheny Library.; "A room seating about 150 should be provided with walls finished for poster, etching, etc. displays. -- A platform should be at one end with side drapes. This would be most attractive as a regular stage platform not more than three steps from floor. Provision should be made for drop curtain for picture projection and a [sic] 11 electric connections for smae [sic, i.e. same]. -- Floor covering should be rubber tile, carpet or equal. -- Pasadena Public Library has a very good example. -- Electric outlets for radio and motion picture projection. One outlet in center of floor."
