Texts on parchment (vellum) contained in the collection of the Museum of Ancient Cultures at Macquarie University

The Museum of Ancient Cultures at Macquarie University, Sydney, holds some 700 papyri, mainly in Greek, but also in other languages and scripts, such as Demotic and Coptic (Egyptian). Of these, 16 are written on parchment (vellum). Most of these texts are written in Coptic, the final phase of the Egyptian language, and come from Egypt, but two are in Latin and come from medieval Europe.
