Persons with benefits; type of benefit, neighbourhoods and neighbourhoods 2015

This table provides an overview of the number of persons with social security benefits per municipality, district and neighbourhood (classification 2015). It concerns persons with benefits for incapacity for work, unemployment, old age and assistance. It is possible that a person may claim more than one benefit. These can be benefits of the same kind (for example, two benefits under the Incapacity Insurance Act (WAO)) or two benefits of different types (such as a benefit under the Unemployment Act and a social assistance benefit). In the latter case, the person is counted in both types of benefits, in the first case only once (at the WAO). In the category of persons with a benefit (total), the person is of course counted only once. The figures on the number of people with benefits per neighbourhood, district or municipality may differ slightly from figures published elsewhere on StatLine, by using the most recent data from the Basic Register of Persons (BRP). Because different StatLine tables are updated at different times, it may happen that a different version of the BRP is used for one table than for another table. In that case, the latest published figures are the most accurate. Data available from: March 2015. Status of the figures: The 2015 figures are final.
