Sick leave according to employees; region

This table contains data on sick leave of workers aged 15 to 75, by region (country, province and RegioPlus labour market region). This includes employees who are employed but who do not perform work due to sickness, maternity leave or other temporary career breaks. Furthermore, the table also contains data on the last absenteeism case of employees (this case may be more than 12 months ago), the type of complaints in the most recent work-related absenteeism case and the main reason for the complaints. As of the reporting year 2022, the way in which data has been collected and processed for the NEA differs in some respects from previous reporting years. As a result, the figures from 2022 onwards may not be comparable in all cases to the figures until 2021. More information is available in the NEA 2022 research description. See paragraph 4.
