Current models of galaxy evolution rely critically on feedback supernova and AGNfeedback processes. The energy released by past star formation and AGN activityimprints a fossil record on the thermodynamic properties of theintragroupmedium (IGM). This can be decoded by studying the Xray emission.for an unbiased sample of groups with known galaxy and AGN properties.
