National Protected Area Analysis 2021

This dataset represents enduring features across Canada. For each enduring feature, the ecological representation of Canada's current protected areas network is evaluated (alongside the component criteria that make up ecological representation). In addition, the relative priority for the designation of new protected areas is assessed by integrating gaps in ecological connectivity with key conservation values (e.g., species at risk, carbon density, climate resiliency and ecological connectivity).
