Acacia koa individual-tree growth and yield data and prediction functions (Hawaii, 1949-2025)

Data and prediction functions for the first integrated individual-tree growth and yield model for Acacia koa (koa), Hawaii's most ecologically and economically significant endemic hardwood. The model system comprises five component equations (static height, height to crown base, diameter increment, height increment, and survival) developed from koa permanent plot records spanning four Hawaiian Islands, eight monitoring programs, and seven decades of observations (1949 to 2025). The deposit includes tree-level measurements (AK_TREE.csv), plot-level summaries (AK_PLT.csv), plot environmental covariates including the Biomass Yield Index (AK_PLT_GEO.csv), the wall-to-wall BYI raster for the Hawaiian Islands (BYI_all.tif, ~30 m, EPSG:4269), and self-contained R prediction functions for all five components plus a stand-level simulator (koa_prediction_functions.R). A column-level data_dictionary.csv and the manuscript supplemental (koa_supplemental.docx; Tables S1 to S13, including the operational calibrated survival parameters in Table S3b) are included.
