Gallup Omnibus Data 1974, omnibus nr. 08

Danish Gallup Omnibus Data 1974 comprises 14 omnibus surveys carried out by the Danish Gallup Institute in 1974. Each of the 14 omnibuses consists of a number of recurring ques- tions as well as a number of special questions (concerning to- pical events). Omnibus no. 08 comprises all the questions put to a total of 1394 persons (the number weighted=1998). The omnibus includes questions about e.g. the respondent's re- sidence according to degree of urbanization, sex, age and ma- rital status; the respondent's occupational status and educa- tion. In addition to this, some questions have been included which deal with the respondent's gross income, gross household income, the bread-winner's occupation, number of persons in household, type of accommodation, number of children (persons under 15), number of adults (persons aged 15 and over), the re- spondent's status in household, spouse's status, social group, and party preference. These questions are common to all 1974 omnibuses. #Finally, this survey includes some questions about the respon- dent's opinion of the Government's performance, the respondent's assessment of which kind of government would be able to take the most effective steps in dealing with the problems of Denmark's balance of payments and inflation, an all-party coalition (crisis) government rather than democracy, the strikes in protest against the political compromise on economy reached by the Government and the opposition, who is hardest hit by the economic burdens which the Government imposes on the population, and some questions about the excessive administration of the welfare state, and about membership of trade union
