Table 3 illustrates the sequence variation within the HLA B5701 and B*580-restricted p17Gag 162–172 KAFSPEVIPMF (KF11) and p24Gag 240–249 TSTLQEQIAW (TW10) epitopes. Bold and underlined letters indicate substitutions in these Gag epitopes known to incur significant reduction in viral replicative capacity following immune pressures.
