Delta Electricity was a State Owned Corporation formed in March 1996. Directors were appointed to a Board and under the State Owned Corporations Act “all decisions relating to the operation of a statutory State Owned Corporation are to be made by or under the authority of the Board".  The Act and Delta's constitution required meetings to be held on a regular basis and for full and accurate records of the meetings to be maintained. The Board had the power to form Committees and to delegate functions to each of them. Usually the Committee met about four times per year. This series contains the papers and agendas relating to Delta Electricity Board meetings and associated committees. Series commenced March 1996, continuing through to the dissolution of Delta Electricity.This is a hybrid series. From January 2013 the meeting papers and agendas were provided to the Board and Executive in electronic format (Objective). Prior to this date the original papers were signed and filed as hardcopy.
