Datasets and model simulations of vertical and lateral carbon fluxes driven by soil respiration and weathering in a shale landscape

This dataset contains the source code and input files used to simulate soil respiration, chemical weathering, and coupled vertical and lateral carbon fluxes in the Shale Hills catchment (Pennsylvania, USA). Simulations were performed using the process-based reactive transport model BioRT-Flux-PIHM, extended here to explicitly represent soil respiration, vertical CO₂ efflux, and lateral export of dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC).
