Danske modalpartikler som indikatorer på afsenders forskellige kommunikationsstrategier

My paper is devoted to a contrastive-pragmatic analysis of Danish interrogative sentences involving the particles da, vel and så. The speaker’s choice of a specific particle in otherwise identical contexts is not at all accidental: it signals different communication strategies which, each in its own way, define his attitude towards the utterance, the hearer’s strategy and the actual situation, but which also indicate the degree of epistemic responsibility taken by him.
