资源简介:
This dataset contains greenhouse gas flux measurements (CO₂, CH₄, and N₂O) obtained from static chamber experiments conducted under greenhouse conditions using pot-based systems. The experiment was designed to evaluate soil–atmosphere gas exchange in grass species from temperate grasslands of South America.
The study included representative C3 and C4 grass species commonly found in temperate grasslands: Dactylis glomerata and Lolium perenne (C3), and Paspalum quadrifarium and Bothriochloa laguroides (C4). Plants were grown in pots under controlled conditions, allowing isolation of plant functional type effects on greenhouse gas dynamics. In addition, pots without plants were added as a control.
Gas samples were collected from static chambers placed over the pots at different time intervals after chamber closure. Air samples were extracted using polypropylene syringes and analyzed by gas chromatography (Agilent 7890A) to determine gas concentrations in ppm. These repeated measurements over time allow the estimation of gas fluxes at the soil–atmosphere interface.
The dataset includes GHG fluxes, sampling dates, treatment information (plant species and experimental conditions), growing stage defined as a five level factor, days after germination (DAG), chamber identifiers, ambient air temperature and relative humidity, and soil temperature. These data were used to assess the influence of plant functional types (C3 vs. C4 grasses) and environmental factors on GHG dynamics in soil systems.
