High fat diet induced inflammation is known to involve disruption of the intestinal barrier and translocation of bacterial components such as lipopolysaccharide into the circulation. LPS also upregulated Cxcl10 expression. Cotreatment with an anti-CXCL10 antibody suppressed the LPS induced upregulation of proteolytic and inflammatory genes.
