This project investigates the impact of nanographene (50 mg/L and 125 mg/L) on a hexanoic acid-producing microbial consortium from anaerobic fermentation pit mud, an environmentally complex microbial community. Metatranscriptomic analysis of control (CK) and nanographene-amended groups reveals gene expression dynamics during fermentation (Day 5 sampling). RNA was processed via Ribo-Zero depletion, sequenced on the Illumina MiSeq platform, and analyzed using QIIME to target acidogenesis-related pathways. This study deciphers the nanographene-driven modulation of electron transfer and carbon flux in anaerobic systems through metatranscriptomic analysis. The findings provide novel insights into nanomaterial-microbe interactions and advance sustainable strategies for bioacid production.
