Geologic data on glacial materials from the Wilkes margin, Antarctica

Petrologic, geochemical and geochronological data on glaciomarine sediments from the Wilkes Land margin of Antarctica. Materials studied include dredge clasts collected on cruise NBP01-01 (obtained from E. Domack), piston cores of glaciomarine tills (taken on cruises Deep Freeze 79 and NBP01-01, archived at Florida State University), sandstone cored by DSDP Leg 28 (archived in the ODP repository at Lamont Doherty Earth Observatory), and Beacon Supergroup sandstone from northern Victoria Land (archived at the US Polar Rock Repository at Ohio State University). Data include: (1) Hand specimen and petrographic information for igneous and metamorphic rock clasts. (2) Major- and trace-element geochemical data for igneous rock clasts. (3) U-Pb zircon age data for igneous and metamorphic rock clasts, as well as detrital-zircon ages for glaciomarine sediment.
