We identified a differential enrichment of TET-medaited 5hmC in human enterocyte (Caco2BBE1 cells) upon infection with salmonella typhimurium. Genes enriched with 5hmC are involved in Wnt and Notch signaling pathways. Overall design: To investigate the role of DNA methylation in the response to challenege like bacteria infection. We infect the Caco2BBE1 cells with salmonella typhimurium and harvest after 3 hours.
