Scientometric dataset on Digital Soil Mapping research (2020–2024): bibliographic records after deduplication and thematic screening

This dataset contains 858 original research articles in English retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) and Scopus databases in September 2025, using the search term "Digital Soil Mapping" applied to title, abstract, and keywords fields. Records were merged using the Bibliometrix package (R), deduplicated, and subjected to thematic screening to retain only empirical studies with quantitative analysis and validation procedures, covering the period from 2020 to 2024. The dataset supports the scientometric analysis reported in the manuscript "A Scientometric Analysis of Recent Global Patterns and Trends in Digital Soil Mapping (2020–2024)".
