Feasibility of using grass inflorescence as eDNA source for Arthropoda biomonitoring

Testing the utility of grass inflorescence as eDNA sources for the detection of invertebrate taxa. Inflorescence from four grass species were collected from the an urban grassland habitat in the central Free State Province of South Africa. Low invertebrate detection rates were achieved. Suggestions on improving detection rates are discussed in the manuscript.
