资源简介:
In order to identify candidate loci responsible for variation in recombination rate in Drosophila melanogaster, we performed whole genome sequencing on individuals from three temperature-evolved populations that were initially derived from a wild-caught and maintained population before being established in one of three selective temperature regimes (Warm, Cold, Temporally fluctuating). Significant differences in recombination rate are noted between the populations based on the temperature regime in which they evolved. Variant calling of sequencing data allowed for the identification of divergent alleles and candidate loci responsible for recombination rate variation when comparing populations.
