Mapping an Indigenous Procedure for the Construction of an IT Artefact

The indigenously organised IT artefact represents a version of technology that is not entirely familiar to most indigenous communities. An indigenous IT artefact can be many things in today’s digital world; it can be a mobile application for a tribal language or a website that stores tribal information. This study provides a procedure to guide the construction of a 3d model of a taonga as a proxy for an IT artefact. Here, I create the TAIHONOHONO framework grounded in a set of principles that adhere to being responsible, reciprocal, and respectful during the construction of a 3d model.
