Survey of Natural and Social Scientists and Engineers, 1972; 1974; 1976; 1978

<p>This study includes characteristics of persons engaged in occupations related to the natural sciences, social sciences, engineering, and related fields. Characteristics of individuals include formal and supplemental education and training, current employment characteristics and job history. Each record contains data from previous years’ surveys. The sample was drawn from the 1970 experienced civilian labor force in scientific, engineering, and related occupations. A subpopulation of those surveyed in 1972 was mailed followup questionnaires in 1974, 1976, and 1978. The 1972 survey was also known as the Postcensal Manpower Survey.</p>
