cervicovaginal microbial communities resolved using cpn60 profilling

Sequencing reads obtained using cpn60 microbial profiling of cervicovaginal samples. Samples were collected from a longitudinal cohort of Kenyan women at low risk to HIV (N=41) enrolled in the KAVI-VZV-001 study (ClinicalTrials.gov NCT02514018). Study objectives were to 1) characterize the cervicovaginal microbial communities and their temporal dynamics using cpn60 microbial profiling 2) examine the associations of these microbial communities with mucosal markers of inflammation and HIV target cells 3) examine the association of these microbial communities and key taxa with bacterial vaginosis
