收藏资源简介:
This study examines the crucial role of intonation in spoken communication, focusing on its impact on meaning, emotional expression, and listener interpretation. Intonation, as a key prosodic feature, influences how utterances are structured and understood beyond their grammatical form. The research adopts a qualitative approach, analyzing conversational speech patterns and reviewing relevant linguistic and psychological literature. The findings reveal that variations in pitch, stress, and rhythm significantly contribute to discourse organization, emphasis, and the expression of attitudes such as confidence and uncertainty. Additionally, the study highlights the role of intonation in shaping listeners’ perceptions of credibility and authority. The results also emphasize the importance of incorporating intonation training into language learning programs, particularly for second-language learners, to improve communicative competence and reduce misunderstandings. Overall, the study concludes that effective use of intonation is essential for successful interpersonal communication and deeper mutual understanding.
