Purpose: The goals of this study are to compare RA, NR and NRRA treatment in in vitro spermtogonia transcriptome profiling (RNA-seq) and to evaluate protocols for in vitro induced meiosis system. Methods: Spermatogonia mRNA profiles of Veh, RA, NR and NRRA were generated by deep sequencing, in duplicate. Conclusions: Our study represents the first detailed analysis of induced meiosis spermatogonia transcriptomes, with biologic replicates, generated by RNA-seq technology. Overall design: Spermatogonia mRNA profiles of Veh, RA, NR and NRRA were generated by deep sequencing, in duplicate, using Illumina. Veh: complete spermatogonial culture medium RA: complete spermatogonial culture medium plus retinoic acid (RA) NR: nutrient restriction medium, which is composed of 10% complete spermatogonial culture medium and 90% EBSS NRRA: nutrient restriction medium plus retinoic acid EBSS: Earle's Balanced Salt Solution
