Coding Content Analysis - Coder 1

This dataset is the coding result of Coder 1 from a content analysis of 185 environmental news articles published by Kompas.com between April 1, 2024, and April 1, 2025. The coding was conducted manually based on a predefined guidelines across three categories: News Type (Hard News, Feature, Explanatory), News Topic (Clean and Affordable Energy, Climate Change, Marine Ecosystems, Terrestrial Ecosystems), and News Sentiment (Positive, Negative, Neutral). The dataset reflects Coder 1’s independent assessment and serves as part of the intercoder reliability test, with results later compared to Coder 2’s coding to calculate Cohen’s Kappa.
