资源简介:
Section 108 of the Licensing Act 1906 and Section 313 of the subsequent Licensing Act 1915 (consolidation) established the Licensing Fund, which was funded by proceeds from license fees and license infringement fines. Municipalities were paid a prescribed amount from this fund on an annual basis. The funds were to be used by municipalities to administer the Acts within their jurisdiction. The Licenses Reduction Board was established by the Licensing Act 1906, its duties were to reduce the amount of victuallers in Victoria by not granting a portion of them an opportunity to renew their annual license. Those victuallers who were not granted a renewal were offered financial compensation from the Compensation Fund also established by the Act.A deduction or deprivation was made from each annual payment in accordance with the number of victuallers or licensed liquor merchants that had their licenses revoked by the Board. The deprivation was calculated as 80% of the license fee that would have been payed by the victuallers had they been able to renew their licenses. This series consists of a journal of annual payments made to municipalities minus the prescribed deprivation.Details for each payment were subsequently posted to VPRS 11334 Trust Fund Ledgers.
