This dataset includes blood samples from smokers participating in epidemiological studies such as the European Prospective Investigation into Cancer and Nutrition (EPIC), as well as samples from the Cosmos and BC trials conducted in Cologne, Germany. All samples are sourced from patients who were either newly diagnosed with incident lung cancer cases during the EPIC trial, or were prevalent lung cancer cases in the Cosmos and BC trials. Furthermore, this dataset contains a blood-based biomarker that can distinguish lung cancer patients from unaffected smokers. The task is to perform binary classification predictions for lung cancer.
