Hormonal Regulation of MicroRNA Expression in Rat Adrenal Gland

To determine miRNA profiles in rat adrenals from animals treated with vehicle, ACTH, 17a-ethinyl estradiol (17a-E2) or dexamethasone (DEX). miRNA expression profiling was performed using Affymetrix® GeneChip® miRNA 2.0 Arrays. Together with qRT-PCR, several adrenal miRNAs have been identified, whose expression is subject to regulation by one or more than one hormone.
本研究旨在明确经赋形剂、促肾上腺皮质激素(adrenocorticotropic hormone, ACTH)、17α-乙炔雌二醇(17α-E2)或地塞米松(DEX)处理的大鼠肾上腺组织中的miRNA(microRNA)表达谱。本研究采用Affymetrix® GeneChip® miRNA 2.0 阵列芯片进行miRNA表达谱分析,并结合实时定量逆转录聚合酶链反应(quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction, qRT-PCR),最终鉴定出多种肾上腺miRNA,其表达可受一种或多种激素的调控。
