RELATIONS BETWEEN EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE AND INVESTMENT DECISION – AN EXTENTION OF THEORY OF PLANNED BEHAVIOUR.

Emotional intelligence plays vital role in making decision. We conducted a survey, to
understand how investor’s emotional intelligence influences the investment decision. The
survey was conducted using structured questionnaire to identify how investors understand
their own and other’s emotions, how they use and regulate that emotions. The data collected
from 346 investors who already invested in different avenues by using convenience sampling
technique. Relationship between theory of planned behaviour, emotional intelligence and
investment decision is examined with correlation analysis. The data will be used by
researchers who want to identify the impact of investors’ emotional intelligence, theory of
planned behaviour on investment decision.
