Unemployment rates by sex and migration status of the unemployed

The data set shows the number of unemployed people aged 15 to under 65 per 100 workers (employees and the unemployed together) of the corresponding population. According to the International Labour Organisation (ILO) Labour Force concept, unemployed persons aged 15 to under 75 are considered unemployed if they were employed less than one hour a week in the reporting week, were not self-employed, actively sought employment in the past four weeks and are available, i.e. can take up employment within two weeks. Survey characteristics are also the migrant background and the gender of the persons. Exclusion from working life is one of the main causes of poverty. Permanent exclusion has negative consequences for almost all areas of life.
