Mother-infant dyads gut microbiota sequencing data

This study aimed to investigate the association between maternal and infant gut microbiota by collecting fecal samples from pregnant women in the third trimester and their children at multiple time points after birth. Using high-throughput 16S rRNA gene sequencing, we explored the composition and temporal dynamics of the gut microbial communities in mothers and their offspring. The study provides insights into the early microbial transmission and colonization patterns, which may have important implications for understanding the developmental origins of health and disease related to the gut microbiome.
