资源简介:
A Level 2 Historic Building Record was produced in October 2019 in order to discharge condition 6 of listed building consent 18/03326/LBC. The former Toll House dates from 1844 and has recently been in use as a shop. As a result of the recent consent, it is to be altered to serve as a cafe. The building record found that the mid-19th-century Toll House has been heavily altered internally in the late 20th century, with the removal of the original floors and partitions and the insertion of steel supports. The western elevation appears to have been wholly rebuilt at this time. Differences in the cellar construction between mid-19th-century brickwork to the south and rubblestone walling to the north raise the possibility that the building may have been erected over the cellar of an earlier structure.
