Modelling the mortality-temperature relationship in the city Council of Almada

We used data from the city Council of Almada, provided by  the Department for Innovation, Environment, Climate and Sustainablity of the city Council of Almada. We had access to daily mean temperature and daily counts of all-cause mortality in the city of Almada, for the period 2000-2015. Overall, there were 28,450 deaths in Almada during the study period, representing a mean of around 1,780 deaths per year. We used these data to calibrate the temperature-related mortality model in the city of Almada using the Distributed lag linear and non-linear models (DLNM).
