Supply balance Oils and greases

The supply of vegetable oils and fats in Germany is indicated for the headings margarine, industrial recovery, edible fats and fodder.

Comments: Manufactured from domestic and imported raw materials. Stocks at oil mills, refineries and the margarine industry. The degree of self-sufficiency is equal to the production from domestic seeds as a percentage of total consumption for food, feed and industrial utilisation. Due to the methodological adjustments, the self-sufficiency levels of rapeseed oil and sunflower oil have only been reported since 2016. Last year's figures are preliminary.
