Maricopa County Voting Precincts (2026-)

Each voting precinct is used to summarize primary and general federal election voting results. In jurisdictional and presidential preference elections, voting precincts or parts of voting precincts may be grouped together into consolidated precincts. In this dataset, there are 956 voting precincts which were approved by the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors on October 1, 2025 and then effective for use on Jan 2, 2026. Within this set of voting precincts, there are 6 NVP precincts. These NVP precincts were created due to the misalignment of LD and CD boundaries from the Arizona Redistricting Commission in 2022, and also due to the way the new CD and LD boundaries intertwined with Supervisor District and Justice Precinct boundaries. This is 17 less NVP precincts than the previous set of voting precincts, which was accomplished with the help of the Justice Courts modifying the Justice Precinct boundaries at the same time as the Voting Precincts. In prior reprecincting efforts, the voting precincts were re-numbered, 1-N, based on each precinct name and its alphabetical order. This set of voting precincts did not follow that pattern and was not renumbered. Any new precincts added in this set re-used voting precinct numbers associated with precincts that had been removed (NVP precincts & Clover precinct) or new numbers beyond the previous maximum number of 935.本数据集以投票区（voting precinct）为统计单元，用于汇总初选与联邦大选的投票结果。在管辖区选举及总统预选场景中，投票区或其部分区域可被合并为合并投票区（consolidated precincts）。本次数据集共包含956个投票区，上述投票区已于2025年10月1日经马里科帕县监事会（Maricopa County Board of Supervisors）审批通过，并于2026年1月2日正式启用。在该批次投票区中，包含6个NVP投票区（NVP）。此类NVP投票区的设立，源于2022年亚利桑那州选区划分委员会划定的立法选区（LD, Legislative District）与国会选区（CD, Congressional District）边界不匹配，同时也因新划定的国会与立法选区边界与监事区、司法区边界相互交织所致。相较于此前的投票区批次，本次批次的NVP投票区数量减少了17个，该成果依托同期司法法院对司法区边界的调整，配合投票区重划工作得以实现。在过往的重新划区工作中，投票区会依据其名称的字母顺序，被重新编号为1至N的序列。但本次批次的投票区未遵循该规则，未进行重新编号。本次新增的投票区，要么复用了此前已撤销的投票区编号（含NVP投票区与克洛弗投票区（Clover Precinct）），要么使用了超出此前最高编号935的全新编号。
