The preparation and deployment of CR-39 detectors for investigating the Nugrus region were conducted through a sequence of well-defined steps. Initially, fifty CR-39 sheets were sectioned into equal specimens with dimensions of 1 × 1 cm². These detectors were then placed inside plastic cups of identical and predefined geometry. Each cup was sealed at the top with a paper filter to minimize dust contamination and prevent sample loss.
