The goal of this study was to explore the relationship between genetic variation in the olfactory receptor family and odor perception. 332 subjects rated the intensity and pleasantness of 66 odors at 2 concentrations, 2 solvents, and detection threshold of 3 odors. Targeted sequencing was performed on 413 olfactory receptors and approximately 200 olfactory related genes. An association analysis identified regions associated with differences in odor perception.
