The purpose of this data set was to identify the affects of somatic cell introduction of the methylation results of the sperm samples. This data was then used to help build a computational tool to properly identify somatic cell contamination within a sperm sample. Overall design: 4 samples were taken and 12 biological replicates were taken of each for a total of 48 samples. Samples were then spiked with various amounts of somatic cells, and either processed immediately or run through a purification protocol to test for accuracy.
